The Division of Transplant Surgery is an integral part of GW Hospital’s Transplant Institute. The Institute has a comprehensive kidney transplant program and developing liver transplant program along with the specialty services required to care for transplant surgery patients.
Surgeons in our division perform kidney transplants using kidneys from both living and deceased donors. Residents rotate through the transplant service as interns, PGY3 and Chief residents, providing a robust exposure to transplant medicine and pre, peri and post-operative management of these complex cases.
