The Division of Surgical Education is committed to the development of surgical leaders and to support leaders in surgical education. The division is focused on efforts to ensure quality surgical care through innovative teaching techniques, vigorous accreditation processes, maintenance of certification, and surgical education research and scholarship. Several members of the division have acquired specialty training in education theory through the Masters Teachers Leadership Development Program and the Masters Degree in Education. The division’s intent is to foster a culture that challenges, but supports our teachers and learners on the undergraduate and graduate surgical levels as well as the faculty level.
