Resident Bio

I am a Syrian American. I grew up in Memphis, TN and Dayton, OH before traveling around the Middle East with my family. I came back to the US after graduating medical school in Syria. My fascination with the endocrine system, the unique interplay of pathology on various organs, and tumor genetics led me to prominent scholars in the field and, surgical residency further solidified my aspiration to become an Endocrine Surgeon. As I reflect on my last 4 years at GW, I find that this program challenges residents to develop an aptitude for precision as well as an appreciation for the unique complexities that each patient presents with, allowing me to provide individualized quality care to my patients.
