Resident Bio
I grew up in Minnesota, went to college outside Boston and have lived in Washington, D.C. since. I did a research fellowship at the National Institute of Health and then went to GW for medical school before continuing at GW for surgical residency. I’m interested in all areas of general surgery, as well as medical education and the medical humanities. I love living in D.C. It’s a beautiful city with amazing architecture and there’s never a shortage of things to do with free museums, a great food and wine scene, and close proximity to nature in Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland.
