Resident Bio
I grew up in East Tennessee but have lived in 12 cities on 4 continents. Prior to medical school, I studied 6 languages, taught high school in Thailand, was a park ranger in New Zealand, ran a mountain lodge/restaurant, and studied language processing in the setting of stroke using fMRI. I came to George Washington University because of its excellent breadth of cases, mentorship, and strong resident community. I also love living in a diverse city where I can bike to work and break scrub at 6 p.m. to arrive on time for a 6:30 p.m. Kennedy Center concert.
