Resident Bio

I'm Shane! Native Brooklynite that found a home in DC after undergrad. To be able to call myself a surgery resident in this great city is an honor and privilege. GW Surgery has everything that I am looking for in a residency program. Everyone here at our program that I've worked with cares about my development as a surgeon and as a leader. I look forward to coming into work every day to learn and grow with my coresidents who really embraced me like family. It just made so much sense for me to stay home. My interests in surgery include Vascular, MIS and Critical Care. My favorite activities in the DMV include exploring a very underrated food scene, going to concerts from the smaller intimate venues of the 9:30 Club to the arena shows at the Capital One Arena, and exploring the numerous hiking/biking trails of DC/NoVA.
