Resident Bio
I grew up in the small town of LaGrange, Georgia, right outside of Atlanta, GA. My entire life I have aspired to be a surgeon—I attended Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA, where I received a Biology degree. I spent some time between college and medical school, working in clinical laboratories and hospitals in preparation for medical school. I then moved to Washington, DC to attend Georgetown University School of Medicine. In medical school (when I was not studying) I spent my time between student leadership and transplantation research. Outside of medicine, I am always attempting to find ways to enjoy life by traveling and trying new hobbies. Although surgical residency is challenging, I do not think there is any other specialty that would be as rewarding and gratifying as the profession of surgery.
