Kingsley Cruickshank, MD

Resident Bio

I grew up in Columbia, Maryland and went to Columbia University in the City of New York for undergrad, earned my Master’s in Public Health from the Yale University School of Public Health and received my medical school education from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. Prior to medical school, I acquired a few passport stamps by working abroad as well as stateside in public health related endeavors. I am interested in pursuing a career that marries global surgery with public health. I came to GW because of the academic support as well as the opportunity to work with an underserved population. I am excited to live in this cosmopolitan city, which happens to be close to where I grew up and is filled with historic sites, museums, great food and a plethora of free activities. Additionally, the fact that DC sits close to the nature found in Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia doesn’t hurt one bit!
