Resident Bio
I grew up in a small town in northern Pakistan called Hunza. I went to medical school at the Aga Khan University in Karachi and completed my first two years of general surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania. My interests include public health, HPB surgery, and surgical oncology. I joined the General Surgery Residency Program at George Washington University as a PGY-3 because of its outstanding clinical training, strong academic support, and the genuine sense of community shared between residents and faculty. Coming from a town surrounded by mountains, I love going on hikes and being in nature, something Washington, DC offers in abundance, along with the added convenience of city life.
