Emily Hannah, MD

Resident Bio

I’m from Upstate New York, went to college at GW, and medical school in Buffalo, New York. On my away at GW, I had a hands-on, challenging experience that pushed me to grow in all aspects of patient care. I was struck by how supportive the residents were—both to me & to one another. The culture of encouragement & teamwork made it clear that GW was the kind of program I wanted to be a part of, and I am so thrilled to be here.I’m interested in trauma/acute care surgery, as well as medical and surgical education. During medical school, I conducted research and wrote my thesis on the need for improved education on intraoperative cholangiogram interpretation for surgical residents.
